Privacy and data handling
Last updated October 16, 2026
riley.legal is operated by Plexus Commercial Group LLC ("Plexus", "we"). This page explains in plain language what this site collects, why, and who handles it.
What we collect
When you ask to talk with Philip
The booking form collects your name, firm, email, and, if you choose, your phone number and a note about your firm. We also record the page you booked from and any campaign tags in the link you followed. On the scheduling page, you choose a time and can choose to receive text messages about your appointment.
When you buy an assessment
Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details; we receive confirmation of the purchase, your name, email and billing details, but never your full card number.
When you browse
The site records basic usage: pages viewed, the site that referred you, campaign tags, buttons clicked and video playback. These events are tied to a random identifier stored in your browser, not to your name, unless you later book or buy. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it. Our hosting providers also keep standard server logs, such as IP address, for security.
"Where would Riley start?"
The choices you make in this tool stay in your browser. They are not sent to us unless you go on to book a call.
How we use it
We use your information to schedule and hold your call, send your calendar invite and Google Meet link, send appointment reminders, deliver the assessment you purchase, and understand which pages help visitors. We do not sell your information and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Text messages
We text you only if you choose to receive texts when you book. Messages relate to your appointment: confirmation, meeting link, reminders and changes. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us.
Who handles it
Service providers process information on our behalf and receive only what their role requires:
- Cloudflare: hosts this website.
- Render: hosts our application and stores booking and engagement records on encrypted infrastructure.
- Google: calendar invitations and Google Meet.
- Twilio: text messages.
- Stripe: payments.
- AI model providers: help us prepare for and follow up on conversations, under the oversight described in our AI and human oversight page.
Information is accessible only to authorized Plexus personnel.
Client engagements
If your firm becomes a client, how we handle firm and client data is set out in your written engagement agreement, which governs over this page.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete the information you have shared, contact us and we will handle it promptly.
